Visitors from the Widow's Sons, a specialist Freemasonry group made up of motorcyclists, gave an interesting presentation at the March meeting of the Lodge of Harmony.
The Widow's Sons combine Freemasonry with their passion for riding big bikes and raising money for charity, organising charity runs at Easter and Christmas amongst other events. "If it isn't fun, we won't do it," said 'Bluebell', who explained that each member of the group has a unique nickname; his was given to him after he broke down on Blue Bell Hill on his first ride out with the group.
The inspirational talk inspired members of the Lodge of Harmony to donate £150 to the Widow's Sons' Easter Egg rideout which will see the groupn deliver chocolate treats to worthy recipients around the county.
The group is one of a number of special interest groups within Freemasonry, which welcomes people from all walks of life and religions. To find out more, or talk to someone about becoming a Freemason, get in touch by emailing malcolm@go4marketing.net
