Can women become Freemasons?

There are women-only lodges, but the majority of lodges are for men. Women are unfortunately not able to join Lodge of Harmony

Is there an age limit?

Freemasons generally need to be at least 21 years old. There is no upper age limit

Do I need to have a religious faith to join?

Freemasons are required to have a belief in a supreme being, but this does not need to be the Christian ‘God’ or any other named spiritual leader. Freemasons belong to all religions and to none, but all believe in some kind of higher power.

Is Freemasonry expensive?

It doesn’t need to be. There are joining fees and an annual membership (currently £160 in Lodge of Harmony) plus a relatively inexpensive dining fee after each meeting. Donations to charity, raffles etc, are entirely voluntary.
